Overview
We proudly honor the journey of the Hmong community, a story rooted in resilience, shaped by sacrifice, and elevated through leadership and achievement in the United States. From the hardships endured during times of conflict to the strength shown in rebuilding lives and communities, we recognize and uplift the enduring spirit of the Hmong people. We pay tribute to the courage and wisdom of our elders, the profound sacrifices of our veterans, especially those who served during the Secret War in Laos, and the brilliance, creativity, and leadership of the next generation who continue to carry this legacy forward.
This event is more than a cultural celebration; it is a powerful reflection of perseverance, identity, pride, and progress. It is a space where community members and guests alike can come together to connect, learn, and engage with the rich history, vibrant traditions, and lasting contributions of the Hmong community; past, present, and future.
Following last year’s meaningful commemoration of the 50th anniversary milestone, this year’s gathering represents a renewed commitment to honoring that legacy. It is an opportunity to reflect on the resilience forged through adversity, acknowledge the sacrifices that made new beginnings possible, and celebrate the continued growth, leadership, and promise within the community today.
We are deeply honored to continue this important collaboration alongside Sacramento City Councilmember Mai Vang, Elk Grove Unified School District Board Trustee Sean Yang, whose leadership and dedication help bring this event to life. Their partnership, along with the invaluable contributions of community organizations, volunteers, cultural leaders, and performers, makes this celebration both meaningful and impactful.
We invite you to join us in this special gathering! Come celebrate, learn, and stand with us as we honor the legacy, resilience, and future of the Hmong community.
