Oktoberfest at Flatland Brewing

Beginning at noon on Saturday, September 24, Flatland Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest celebration invites beer enthusiasts, pretzel lovers, and lederhosen fans to come together for an afternoon of live music, special beer releases, food specials from The Pizza Peel and plenty of German-themed fun.

Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival

The Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival fills Elk Grove Regional Park on October 1 and 2 with dozens of amusements and activities to delight the entire family. As one could imagine, there will also be plenty of pumpkin-themed contests, including a pumpkin pie eating contest, a thrilling pumpkin regatta and the signature giant pumpkin contest, featuring some of the region’s largest — and potentially world-record-setting — pumpkins.

Pecktoberfest

The Oktoberfest fun continues on Saturday, October 15, at Hungry Pecker Brewing for the annual Pecktoberfest. This all day, all ages event features an assortment of local food trucks, live music, pop up vendors and activities and no shortage of locally brewed, seasonal craft beer.

Just outside of downtown Elk Grove, fall aficionados can find any number of Oktoberfest events and other autumn celebrations in and around Sacramento. The annual Farm-to-Fork Festival runs through September 24 and features the very best of regional chefs, wineries, and musicians. One of the larger Oktoberfest gatherings in the region is Sacramento’s annual Oktoberfest at Turn Verein (October 7, 2022), featuring an outdoor biergarten, live music, and German singers and dancers.
