Early fall is one of the best times to tour Elk Grove’s thriving network of local craft breweries, many of which will be tapping into kegs of their signature autumn ales and Oktoberfest brews. Taste Märzen style lagers, pilsners and other German-inspired brews.

Start at Flatland Brewing Company, a 10-barrel operation with a California State Fair Best in Show award and a sour program running 24 dedicated barrels. This Halloween, from noon to 9 p.m., Flatland hosts Halloweizen, a Halloween-meets-Oktoberfest celebration with food specials, a DJ, a costume contest and more. Over on Main Street, Dust Bowl Brewing Co pours from a historic brick building on Railroad Street and brews a traditional Oktoberfest lager as a fall seasonal!

Cheers Your Friends at Sky River Casino

Keep the Oktoberfest spirit going at 32 Brews Street inside Sky River Casino, where a cold pour and televised sports games make an easy landing spot. Sky River Casino features over 110,000-square-feet of gaming space, including 2,000 slot machines, a 12-table poker room, and over 80 table games, plus retail stores, dining experiences, and more.
