LESSON CONTENT: Learn the basics of color theory and how to apply them with oil paint! In my previous workshops, I taught values. This class assumes you have a decent understanding of values and ability to draw. In this workshop, we will learn about cool vs warm colors, how to paint traditionally, and how to mix colors. There will be a small lecture at the beginning to talk about the color wheel, and commonly used oil painting colors. We will briefly discuss lighting scenarios that produce warm vs cool shadows or lights. Then we will have a still life set up in the middle of the room that is Fall themed.
