Salsa Competition at Christopher Cellars

Join us for a laid-back, flavor-filled Saturday at the winery as we roll out our first-ever homemade salsa competition—the kind you scoop with chips, not the kind you dance to (though we wouldn’t stop you). The patio will be alive with live music by The Sound Effects from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, a local food truck, and plenty of cold wine to keep you hanging out all afternoon.

While you sip and stroll, you’ll get to taste through a variety of homemade salsas, all crafted by local contestants vying for the title of People’s Choice. Sample as many as you’d like, then cast your vote for your favorite. Want to throw your own salsa into the ring? Fill out this form for a shot at bragging rights.

Also joining us for the day is Ruby Rue & Co., bringing their custom hat trailer so you can design your own western or trucker hat on the spot. They’ll also be serving up a menu of signature dirty sodas for a fun, non-alcoholic twist.

And because no salsa party is complete without something cool in your glass, we’re serving two refreshing slushies:– A jalapeño and lime Winertia slushy with the perfect balance of sweet and heat– A strawberry mango wine slushy topped with chamoy and Tajín for that extra summer kick

From the music and the food to the wine and the spice, this is one summer afternoon you won’t want to miss. Come early, stay late, and soak it all in.
