Overview
On INTERdependence day this July 4, join ASATTCI volunteers and beloved librarians from our Sacramento community at 4pm for a discussion of free speech and the role of libraries hosted by Todd Deck, followed by a 5:30pm screening of a groundbreaking documentary called The Librarians, made possible by a grant from Subject Matter and support from ROCO Films.
About the film: The Librarians, which made its world premiere at Sundance, explores the urgent moment we find ourselves in. As an unprecedented wave of book banning is sparked, librarians under siege join forces as unlikely defenders fighting for intellectual freedom on the front lines of democracy. The Librarians is a chilling cautionary tale, rallying cry for freedom, and must-watch film.
