Class Description:
A Monotype is a singular image that is transferred from a plate to paper. This process is completely spontaneous and lends itself to whimsical exploration in color, texture, line, and form! NO Painting experience is required!!
Participants will use water-based inks and soluble watercolor crayons to create layers on a plexi-glass printing plate. From this rolled and painted image, you will “pull” your monotype by transferring to BFK archival printing paper. Several prints may be achieved in one session.
Dynamic layers and juxtaposition of collaged images may be used to further develop your one-of-a-kind artwork.
