Beginning Pastel Painting with Andrea Morris

Workshop Fee: $30 / Materials Fee: $45 (all materials provided)

Description: Join instructor Andrea for this 1-day pastel course designed for those who want to learn about the pastel medium! In this course, students will first explore the variety of soft pastels and the surfaces that can be used to create paintings.

Exercises will be used to get students to quickly familiarize themselves with the medium.

Then Andrea will show and encourage students to experiment with techniques that we can use to create the results we desire. After these steps, students will create their own original works with the help and guidance of the instructor of a simple figure. This class is appropriate for beginner and intermediate level pastel students. The instructor will adjust lessons according to each student’s skill level.
